I’m originally from the west of India – the great city of Mumbai. It’s where I grew up, got my Bachelor degree in Statistics and Diploma in advanced computer arts.
I’ve been a user experience professional for more than 14 years, building engaging, effective solutions and projects rooted in user-centered design. As a creative manager, I’ve built and grown talented teams, helping young designers and developers set their courses for the future, and fostered collaborative environments that encourage creation, rather than production.
I have worked closely with and directed the efforts of interaction designers, visual designers, user researchers, developers, technologists, technical writers and information architects across various product efforts, and interactive projects at JPMorgan Chase, FedEx, Singapore Healthcare, Pfizer, Charles Schwab and other companies.
For the past decade, my work across a range of user groups, industries, knowledge domains, and technology platforms has helped produce best-of-breed interactive web applications for consumer and B2B audiences, and software user interfaces for critical enterprise applications. This all began when I found myself caught up in the whirlwind of the web agency world during the dot-com boom.
I’m currently directing UX design and development team (web and mobile) for the financial industry and know more about earnings per share than I’d care to admit.
I live in New Jersey with my wife and son after moving around a bit in the United States and around the globe. I love cinema, music, travel, indian cuisine, cricket and am of course passionate about user experience.
